Southwick Rec Center is a basic, no-frills setup that works well for what it is. Parking is easy and close, so getting in and out—and unloading gear—is pretty simple.

The biggest downside is the bathroom situation. There are indoor bathrooms inside a storage building, but they’re on the rougher side. If you don’t mind a short walk, heading over to Whalley Park is a much better option.

There’s no on-site food and limited shade, so this is another spot where you’ll want to come prepared—especially for longer days or hot weather. There are a few picnic tables under a covered section of the storage building, which can help a bit if you need a break from the sun.

If you’re looking to grab something nearby, Mrs. Murphy's Donuts is a great option (and close to both this field and Whalley Park)—just remember it’s cash only.
